Simplifying, not accumulating, can bring more joy and peace.
The memories of experiences live on in our hearts and uplift us, which is in stark contrast to the dust that collects and resides on the numerous items we acquire over the years that often end up stressing us out.Defined as “a lifestyle limiting possessions and clutter to live deliberately according to one’s purpose,” the term was first coined by social philosopher Richard Gregg, who wrote a popular 1936 book titled The Value of Voluntary Simplicity.Reevaluate your belongings. Get rid of what is no longer useful or joyful. Let go of excess clutter. Simplify and share your surplus with others. Donate to a favorite charity.

Question: I have a Live Oak that was planted in my yard about 15 years ago. In the last several years, small shoots have been sprouting up around the tree base, are getting more dense and spreading into the grass. I assume these are from the root system. I have cut them back to the ground with an edger, and mow over them, but cannot get rid of them.Is there a way to eliminate them without affecting the tree itself? I have Live Oaks that were there prior to the house, but they do not create this problem. Thanks · Answer: Sorry, but the only safe way to get rid of those sprouts is to cut them off. You can dig down and cut them off below ground. You can read the answer to a previous question concerning the problem of live oak sprouts.Tune into watch the US Open Men's Singles Finals live in 2025.

In order to use the RIDELIVE application in its full capacity you will need a Smart Trainer. A Smart Trainer is an apparatus to which you mount your bike and run it with simulated resistance. What makes a trainer “smart” is its ability to set resistance intelligently by simulating real cycling conditions. Also smart trainers typically provide feedback in the form of cycling metrics (e.g. speed, cadence, power). The Trainer should be able to connect to the device on which RIDELIVE is running via bluetooth and the protocol should be compatible with RIDELIVE. Trainers that support Bluetooth FTMS specifications are compatible. Some trainers that don’t support FTMS are also compatible – e.g. some Wahoo, Saris and Tacx models. If your smart trainer is not FTMS compatible or somehow does not work with RIDELIVE please contact our support team.If you have a regular trainer (one that cannot simulate real riding conditions and resistance set simply in trainer controls manually), you can still use it with the RIDELIVE. In this case RIDELIVE will not control the trainer resistance automatically by sending grade information to the trainer, but will use your speed instead to advance the video.

Last week Minister for Roads and Freight Duncan Gay launched the NSW Government’s new motorcycle education campaign ‘Ride to Live’, to help motorcyclists and other motorists better identify and manage the issues, which put motorcyclists at risk. We’ve had a think about the campaign, which started yesterday and a really good play with the website, and have added some notes to Mr Gay’s comments below.Again, good, and getting proper emergency care as quickly as possible can save lives. The campaign was kicked off on 29 October at Customs House with three days of interactive motorcycle-focused activities for the community, including an on-site mechanic. TV, radio, online and bus advertising started yesterday. The campaigns aren’t just aimed at motorbike users, but also build awareness for other road users. “The ‘Ride to Live’ website is a useful information hub for motorcyclists and has everything from riding safety tips to hazard tests, you can get advice on selecting the right helmet and protective gear and on things like braking distances.”“There are also interactive maps of some of the state’s most popular riding routes with live traffic updates, an explanation of where recent crashes have occurred and where rest stops, petrol, food and accommodation can be found.”Home › Motorbike › Ride to Live campaign and website goes live – we assess whether it’s any good
